EZ Shed Base

The MCD EZ Base is a wooden frame engineered to give a level base for your garden building.

It is made to the precise size of your MCD shed floor, and is staked into the ground using pressure treated timber and levelled. This is a great way of achieving a level base, allowing maximum airflow to keep the underside of the shed floor dry and free of damp. Only suitable for ground level differences up to 30cm (12″, 1ft). The MCD EZ Base allows you to have a strong & level base at a fraction of the cost of levelling the ground & laying concrete or paving slabs. Simply choose your size and add to the basket.

We create the EZ Shed Base in our workshop using pressure treated Scandinavian timber. This protects timber from rotting, even in the harshest conditions. The strong durable frame created with this timber allows it to be laid onto soft or hard ground.

Please note we only install the E Z Shed Base for our garden buildings

FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

The team at MCD Garden Sheds have compliled a list of the most frequestly asked questions! This will help you undersatand our buildings better, while giving you an answer right away!

The price shown includes delivery and installation within 20 miles of our Barnsley HQ. However we deliver and fit our sheds, summerhouses and garden rooms nationwide. The cost is calculated at checkout, simply add your post code to find out. Alternatively call our sales team to check.

The timber we use is fully pressure treated, therefore it comes with a 10 year anti-rot guarantee. If you follow the care guide and treat the building it won't only give the timber a waterproof jacket. It should increase the life of the building to around 25-30 year minimum. The roof is box profile steel and will last the life of the building with no maintenance required on the roof.

At MCD we only offer a steel roof on all full size summerhouses and sheds. Our smaller products such as mini sheds and log stores may be supplied with a timber roof as standard.

A timber product will always need maintaining to get the maximum life span. We will send you a care guide for you to follow with your order confirmation.

Collection for self assembly is available. However the lead time on the item would be the same as if you had chosen delivery and installation.

If you order over the phone, at the time of order we take a 25% deposit then the balance is not due until the day before installation, you can however pay a larger deposit or the amount in full at the time of ordering if you prefer. If you place your order on the website there is not an option to pay a deposit - the order will need to be paid in full.

All MCD buildings are made to order and come with a minimum lead time of 6-8 weeks out of season and up to 12-16 weeks in peak season.

The building does require a solid level base that is capable of taking significant weight. If your base is unlevel or you just have soft ground check out our EZ Base. The EZ base is installed on the day of installation by our team of expert fitters. If your base is not level and you have not ordered the EZ base your building may be left for self assembly.

We always recommend to install guttering. We can offer this as an upgrade, please ask the sales team. Guttering allows you to control the water coming off the roof. Without guttering you will find water will run off the roof and hit the ground. This will splash back against the building at floor level possibly causing damp problems.
